  5. Halipriya says:

I am most thankful for Kriyananda and the fact that he brought Kriya Yoga to me through Ananda. Living near Ananda for most of my life, I can testify that the gift of Kriya Yoga is a science that works. It’s like coming out of the darkness into the light. It brings meaning to meditation. It is a practice with purpose and results. I have always sought out the truth in God and there are so many paths. I remember walking through the woods at Ananda years ago looking for the temple service. I looked and looked and finally fell to the ground crying for Yogananda because i knew i was late and i couldn’t find it. Too late for me. At the time i thought Yogananda was trying to block me for some reason. I was hurt and upset and just accepted it. Years later I walked through the woods again determined to find it. (I’m very private and I’m very stubborn when it comes to doing things myself and i have a hard time asking for help) I found alot of things at Ananda. I opened my mouth and i started volunteering my time and trading work in the kitchen and the gift shop for Sahdna classes. However, my realtionship with the Guru’s started way before i ever found the temple. I was praying to Yogananda and Lahiri Mahasaya for years before so. It had been alot of hard inner work to get to the actual community and try to get involved because I love to be alone and i believe the spiritual path is a very private thing- and if i am to become self-realized i needed the space and expansion to do so. It’s as if i were walking through life before up here on the ridge in a labiryth looking for the truth and now i have the spiritual practice that makes sense to me and proves just and real. Kriya Yoga has brought me peace, tranquility, calmness, love, material abundance, expansion and a true relationship to the Kriya teachers. Anotherwords, I am closer to God than ever before. My life has changed forever and i am truely thankful! There is no turning back. Only moving forward. Aum Shanti

  8. Elizabeth Ireland says:

I have asked God over the years for the opportunity to be there for my aging parents. To be able to comfort and assist them with the inevitable life changes of old age. I did not fear their impending death, more, I feared not honoring my parents, and being there for them in there time of need as they have always been for me.
I have worked away at sea,the last thirty years, so this was most unlikely to happen, given my history. As in the past I have always found, my most painful and heart felt struggles, have provided my lifes greatest rewards.I am most greatful for the opportunity to comfort and hold my father in my arms as he struggles with the confusion and fear of advancing dementia.I am most thankful God has heard my prayers.AS I found out recently, my father had prayed I could be there as well. We both cried. I am so very thankful to share these special moments with him.

  9. Gregor says:

I’m very grateful for all the wonderful people in my life. Many of them are great role models showing how can meditation and life devoted to God change you.

I’m grateful to God and the Gurus for all the guidance and support they offers me in my search for God. I’m also very grateful for their patience with me.

I’m also incredibly grateful to Ananda for introducing me to Master and his teachings and for everything that I daily receive from you. Words simply cannot say enough. I love you all….

  10. Bhagavati says:

I grateful for SO MANY things about Ananda and Master and Swamiji and the blessings God and Gurus have showered me with in this lifetime! But at the moment I am feeling particularly grateful for the internet and this wonderful website, for they allow me to get to know members of the Ananda family that I may never meet in person. And yet I can feel the deep and loving connection with all of you in my heart. Joy to you!

  11. Randy Graves says:

So grateful for Ananda as I crawl learning to walk…..in the light.

  12. raja gopalan says:

Seems cliched now but yes, we cannot but be thankful that Master came to us and that Swamiji founded Ananda–just so we could learn the real meaning of why we exist. Also, i am thankful for the many many prayers that have been answered through meditation even while i continue to wait for a positive answer to the ultimate prayer–seeking oneness with Him!

  13. Bill Kilpatrick says:

I am thankful for the blessings and love God sends to us through his enlightened sons like Yoganandaji, Jesus Christ, and Babaji and many others I may not be aware of at this moment. Swami Kriyananda thank you and all the wonderful people who live and work for Ananda communities.
    Joy to you all.

  15. Tsehai Hailu says:

I have wished over the years to have for the opportunity to go back home to my parents and give back what they gave me. They bore me, fed me, and all that. So there is a sense of giving back to my parents for what they gave me all that time, Growing up, I never thought my strong parents would ever need me for daily help, yet the day has finally come. It felt good to be able to comfort and assist them with the inevitable life changes of old age. I did not fear their impending death, more, I feared not honoring my parents, and being there for them in there time of need as they have always been for me.
I have lived and worked away in Los Angeles, the last thirty years, so this was most unlikely to happen, given my history. As in the past I have always found, my most painful and heart felt struggles, have provided my lifes greatest rewards.I am most greatful for the opportunity to comfort and hold my mom in my arms as she struggles with the confusion and fear of advancing dementia. she helped me become the person that I am. – I could not have a better mom: I am so happy that I inherited her love of people in need, as it has enriched my life so! she is the best mom in the world and for this I am so grateful.
I will come to terms with my feelings I suppose in time, but I needed to say how I feel and somehow just could not find the right words or do it without crying. I love my parets very much, and that when they leave my world there will be an empty hole there for a long time to come. I wish I could wave a magic wand and give them eternal life.

  16. Ruth A Schnoor says:

I have been reading his books since July 2012, receiving blessings, confirmations, insights, knowledge & great hope. The effects have been & continue to be life transforming. What a wonderful, commendable light to the world he was (& of course Yogananda)!
