Inside
the Shrine of the Masters
Each display case in the Shrine of the Masters museum has particular focus. We encourage you to come visit and experience for yourself the blessings of the Masters that flow through these sacred objects.
This case features books, posters, and photographs from Yogananda's early years in this country. He called this time his "campaigning years", when he traveled the length and breadth of the United States bringing the timeless message of Self Realization to audiences of thousands.
Sri Yukteswar's Cane is included in this display among other artifacts donated to the Crystal Hermitage Shrine of the Masters from family and disciples in India.
These belonged to direct disciples of Yogananda.
The overcoat was worn by Rajarsi Janakananda, Yogananda's foremost disciple, whom he affectionately called "St. Lynn". After Yogananda's passing in 1952, Rajarsi became his spiritual heir.
