On October 5, 2002, we got married at Crystal Hermitage Chapel. With its breathtaking views, lavish flower gardens and it’s quaint, yet beautiful Chapel, it made the perfect, romantic, energy-filled memory of a lifetime.

We are located 30 minutes from Nevada City, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, away from traffic and noise, just nature at it’s best.
Our lovely stone Chapel, based on the Porziuncola, The Little Church of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy, offers an intimate and deeply inspiring atmosphere for your wedding ceremony. Nature is seen on all sides through the beautiful stained-glass windows. The Chapel is simple, yet elegant and seats fifty people.
Ananda has an inspiring wedding ceremony, written by Swami Kriyananda, our spiritual teacher, combining the spiritual essence of East and West. It offers uplifting music that will remain in your heart for years to come. We can provide you with an Ananda minister, or if you prefer, you may bring a minister with you and create your own ceremony.

Dear Beloved,
I will be true to you as I pray always to be true to God. I will love you without condition, as I would be loved by you and as we are ever loved by God. I will never compete with you; I will cooperate for our own, and for all others highest good.

The spacious dining hall, gallery and main rooms of Crystal Hermitage, with paintings collected from around the world, offer an elegantly decorated reception area.
