Why does my body move while I'm meditating?

Lisa

Question

Hi,

What is shaking and head weaving and seeing light in meditation? Sometimes I have this process come over me — in that order. I just want to make sure it’s not a negative response.

Thank you so much,

Lisa

Answer

Dear Lisa,

No, what you have mentioned is not negative in any way. These experiences are actually quite common for meditators.

The body movements are indicative of energy (prana) moving through the astral or energy spine. This is a good thing!

Same for seeing light. This is the light of your higher Self or of God (same thing) which will grow brighter as you continue to meditate. It is a great blessing!

If you would like to read more about experiences like these, which happen as a part of meditation, I would suggest to you that you obtain and study The Art and Science of Raja Yoga available from Crystal Clarity, Publishers.
