Question
I recently lost my brother. Can I reconnect with his soul daily? Can I talk to him everyday and get his responses?

Dear Sharmistha,
I’m sorry for your loss. The teachings we have, Raja Yoga, were brought to the west by Paramhansa Yogananda, a realized master of yoga. Yogananda teaches us to establish our connection with the Infinite. Through our connection with the Infinite we may then be able to go into other worlds if that is what we need to do.
We do believe that we pass to the astral world, which is described in depth in the Autobiography of a Yogi, by Paramhansa Yogananda, and that all souls in that world can be near to us. It all depends on the depth of our desire as to whether we feel their presence or not. You might try other churches that claim to connect directly with souls in the astral world. We find that the best way to help with grief is to pray to the Guru or the Divine to give us understanding and joy and to pray also that the departed soul find comfort and happiness.
