Answer

Pavlina,

Vegetarianism is the recommendation, but any healthy and suitable diet is fine. Fish is better than pork or beef.

A vegetarian diet is calming and healthy in general, and non-killing of higher life forms promotes "ahimsa" (benevolence toward all life). You should decide based on health, convenience, conscience and inner freedom. Be practical and be free from attachment no matter what diet you choose!

Blessings,
Nayaswami Hriman
