Incorruptible Bodies of Saints and Masters

Question

Dear Guruji,

Paramhansa Yogananda and other few great saints had their respective bodies intact evan after a long time after their death. There was no decay or detirioration to their mortal remains post their death. What do you think it implies ? Were these saints got into Nirabikalpa Samadhi?

Answer

Dear Rajesh,

Paramhansa Yogananda was a true yoga master and could enter nirbikalpa samadhi at will. Those saints of East and West whose bodies were found to have been incorrupt after death were truly great saints but it is not stated clearly by any great master the precise significance of this particular grace or blessing. I am not aware of a specific connection between nirbikalpa and incorruptibility of the body but I think we can safely say that such cases indicate a sanctified person who had achieved a high state of purity of consciousness.
