Richard Salva works in the PR and editing departments of Crystal Clarity Publishers, Ananda’s publishing house.

Richard lives near Ananda Village with his wife Vani (Laura) and his six-year-old son, William. He moved to Ananda Village in 1977, while in his teens, and has lived in or near Ananda communities ever since.

Richard’s first book, The Reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln (published by Crystal Clarity), is based on a statement by Paramhansa Yogananda, who said that Abraham Lincoln had been an advanced Himalayan yogi in a past life, and that he was reborn as Charles Lindbergh.

His second book, Walking with William of Normandy (also published by Crystal Clarity), is a pilgrimage guide that highlights powerful pilgrimage sites in Northern France associated with William the Conqueror (Paramhansa Yogananda’s past life). (Richard is planning on co-leading a pilgrimage to these sites in 2012 with Catherine Kairavi, author of Two Souls: Four Lives.)

Richard will share his experiences as a member of Ananda’s monastic order, incorporating Yogananda’s teachings into daily life as a minister, a husband, and father of an energetic young boy. His interests include books, theater, and going on pilgrimage. In addition to his other work, Richard is an Abraham Lincoln presenter and a meditation instructor.
