“On July 1st Swami Kriyananda gave an hour and a half talk to several hundred enthusiastic truth seekers in Santa Cruz, California. Kriyananda received a standing ovation at the beginning and end of his appearance. The topic for the evening was The Promise of Immortality. The Promise of Immortality is a recently published book by Kriyananda comparing the teachings of the Bible and Bhagavad Gita. This book is a dream come true for anyone who sincerely wants to understand Christ’s true teachings.

”Kriyananda has a magnificent ability to make intricate and deep truths understandable. He has done this in his book and did this in Monday nights talk as well. The Ananda Center in Boulder Creek, California sponsored the event and is largely responsible for the enthusiastic turnout.“

He begins by sharing Yogananda’s words- that he didn’t come to the West to start a sect, but to start communities. He ends with a rousing invitation to join the others at Ananda Rhode Island in helping to launch a spiritual community there. Hope for a Better World is the title of Kriyananda’s forthcoming book on community.
