The
Daily Meditator: December 2007
Dear Meditator,
Featured this month is the very moving talk by Swami Kriyananda, "Meditation: What It Is and How to Do It," and an article I wrote recently for Clarity Magazine, “How Should We Meet Our Tests?”
Swami Kriyananda said it is extremely beneficial “to practice those things which will lift us up into attunement with higher consciousness." Each of the thirty visualizations Swami shares in his talk can help draw a specific experience from God. “The kinds of questions we ask God determine the kinds of answers we receive,” Swami says. “If we listen and have a clearer idea of what we are listening for, we will have an experience, or a greater chance of having such an experience.”
Once your mind is concentrated in meditation, you can use these visualizations to experience God as light... sound... love... and bliss, and His others aspects.
Treasures Along the Path has generously offered Swami’s meditation talk for this month’s Daily Meditator. Treasures Along the Path is a subscription "talk-of-the-month" club, where you receive a talk by Swami Kriyananda every month. These talks are priceless and my wife and I greatly enjoy listening to them all the time. These talks are available in CD, Cassette, or MP3.
