The Mysterious Devotee: A True Story
Dear Meditator,
Orville Wright, co-inventor of the first successful airplane said, “Learning the secret of flight from a bird was a good deal, like learning the secret of magic from a magician.” Likewise, great saints have the spiritual consciousness we seek, so to think of them while we pray or meditate—will, as Paramhansa Yogananda promised—greatly magnify our efforts and experience.
This month’s Daily Meditator’s features a beautiful story about how a mysterious visitor inspired my wife and I to try always to stay in attunement with the Great Ones. After reading this story, you can, if you wish, practice Swami Kriyananda’s meditation, “Walking Meditation with Divine Mother.” This is a wonderful practice for feeling a sense of closeness with God.
