Advice for Meditators
Dear Meditator,
This month’s Daily Meditator features excerpts from the newly revised and expanded edition of How To Meditate, by Jyotish Novak, the Spiritual Director of Ananda Worldwide. This book, available in January 2009 from Crystal Clarity Publishers, offers techniques for relaxing the body and mind, developing intuition and devotion, secrets of the spinal centers (chakras), energization exercises taught by Yogananda, and yoga philosophy.
If you want to learn and practice meditation in a comprehensive and deep manner, I highly recommend reading the upcoming How to Meditate. I have selected excerpts from this marvelous book that can especially help your meditation practice.
Paramhansa Yogananda said, “Environment is stronger than will power.” One of the greatest aids to developing a strong meditation practice is to be around others who have one.
Please consider a visit to Ananda’s guest retreat, The Expanding Light, where you can receive help individually and through strong group meditations. I'd like to recommend 2 wonderful upcoming programs: Thanksgiving and Christmas retreats.
