The Daily
Meditator: November 2004
Living from Your Center
Dear Meditator,
The theme for
November's Daily Meditator is Living from Your Center. In
the feature article, Swami Kriyananda says, "The more you attune
yourself from your center to the center in everything, the more
you will find that there is a sympathetic inter-relationship in
the universe that makes possible
perfect understanding."
To practice
communing from your center to the center in everything, I encourage
you to try the I Am the Mountain meditation. I Am the
Mountain will help you become more aware of your spine or spiritual
center. It is an excellent practice for internalizing your awareness
and learning to relate to life intuitively. When I recently shared
this exercise with the students in Ananda's Meditation Teacher course,
they enjoyed it so much, they didn't want to stop. I Am the Mountain
is normally practiced in an outdoor setting, so it is a great way
to introduce friends to meditation.
My wife, Anandi,
and I will be visiting Swami Kriyananda and other Ananda friends
in New Delhi, India, November 1st to 16th. If you have questions
about meditation that need answering before I return on the 16th,
Dave Warner, Ananda's webmaster and long-time Ananda resident, will
be happy to help you. You can email him at webmaestro@ananda.org.
In this issue:
I hope your
practice of meditation brings you increasing joy and love. May your
efforts be blessed with ever greater success. There is a proverb
in India that says that whenever we take one step toward God, He
takes seven toward us!
