Mahasamadhi
Celebration: March 2 - 4, 2007
Cost: $240
The Mahasamadhi
retreat begins Friday evening, March 2, and continues all day Saturday
and Sunday. The schedule includes Swamiji speaking each of the two
mornings, yoga postures each morning, meditations morning and afternoon,
practical workshops and classes for different levels of students,
a 'world-wide' Ananda choir concert, and a devotional evening program
with Swamiji, dedicated to Master's Mahasamadhi. The weekend will
include a satsang for Ananda Sangha members, and another for Ananda
Meditation Group leaders.
There will also
be participation by many of Ananda's Indian students, including
lunches together, and lots of interaction. In addition, Ananda pilgrimages
from Europe will converge at the Mahasamadhi, so many European devotees
will also be present. The cost for participation in the three-day
retreat, including two lunches and one dinner, is $240. If you participate
in both the Mahasamadhi and Kriyaban retreats, the cost is discounted
to a total of $520.
The price does
not include lodging or airfare. Lodging is available in Gurgaon.
If you would
like to register, ask questions, or learn more about the programs
and lodging, email keshava@anandaindia.org.
We suggest arriving
at least a couple of days before the retreats to get over jet lag,
but you are very welcome to arrive a week or more before the events
and to help Ananda India staff in its preparation, if you wish.
In the days
between the two retreats, from Monday, March 5 to Wednesday, March
7, we will offer a group Pilgrimage to Calcutta and Serampore to
the sites sanctified by the presence of Paramhansa Yogananda and
Swami Sri Yukteswar.
