Accommodations, Meals, Transportation, Cost
All hotels, restaurants, and menus have been personally inspected by Ananda.
Accommodations will be in comfortable, though not luxurious, hotels. They are clean and Western-style. We’ve chosen simpler guest houses in Gurgaon because they are in a pleasant neighborhood, within walking distance of the Ananda ashram and retreat activities.
In Puri, Kolkata, Ranikhet and Rishikesh we will stay in larger full-service hotels, in the 3 or 4 star category. Buffet breakfasts and dinners include a variety of Indian, Western, and Asian dishes.
Travel within India will be by plane, 1st-class train, and comfortable bus. There will be 2 overnight train trips.
Flights
You will arrange and pay for your own flight to and from India, but we will recommend certain flights that other pilgrims plan to take.
We recommend that you fly in and out of Delhi, arriving on February 17, or early February 18 at the latest. This allows you two or more days rest before our flight to Puri. Your flight home from Delhi should be on March 16 or later.

Full 28-day pilgrimage, Feb 17– March 15:
- Double occupancy: approx US $3320 per person
- Single occupancy (limited number available): approx $4130
19-day pilgrimage, Feb. 26 – Mar 15:
- Double $1780; Single $2185
10-day pilgrimage, Mar 6 – 15:
- Double $920; Single $1125
Prices quoted are in USD. Due to possible fluctuations in the exchange rate, cost of oil, or hotel prices, the prices may change slightly.
Included in the Price
- All ground and air transportation in India, within the itinerary
- Accommodations in each destination
- Two meals per day, breakfast and dinner
- All required tips and taxes
- Professional local guides, and tour leaders from Ananda
- All arrangements, information and travel assistance
Not Included in the Price
- Flight to and from India
- Ppassport and visa fees
- Ttravel insurance
- Eexcess baggage charges
- Most lunches
- Iitems of a personal nature, such as laundry, bottled water, beverages other than those included with meals, room service, any transportation used outside of group activities, phone calls, donations in shrines and to Yogananda’s family.
