"If my life has a fulfillment, it is two-fold. One, a bliss I always feel. The other is you all, and people like you, all over the world."
-Swami Kriyananda, Birthday Celebration talk.
"When a group of people live together according to an ideal, they can make an impact. Ananda is the proof of that."

"God is everywhere, but He is especially present in the places where He is worshipped. "
–Swami Kriyananda, Dedication of the Statues
Two years ago several Ananda members were traveling in India, when they chanced upon some beautiful sculptures of saints,
made by Jaipur artisans. The thought came to them, "Why not make statues of the Ananda line of Gurus?"
Thus began a two-year process of meeting with the sculptors, guiding their efforts, then importing the completed sculptures across land and sea... until 6 beautiful marble likenesses of the Gurus found their home at Ananda Village.
Swami Kriyananda conducted the dedication ceremony for the statues at Hansa Mandir, Ananda's community temple. He spoke simply and devotionally how Divine Grace can be drawn from the objects of worship by the power of our love.
He then proceeded to lead the audience in chanting the Gayatri Mantra, an ancient Sanskrit invocation. Afterwards, people surrounded the statues to offer their devotion and lay rose petals at the feet of the Masters, in the traditional yogic way.
The 3 Indian sculptors who made the statues joined us at the dedication. Surely it was gratifying for them to see such sincere appreciation of their masterpieces!

"Get out of this little ego! It's simple, yet hard. It's the biggest fight we have, between the upward moving flow toward God, and the downward moving flow toward the familiar and the comfortable."
