Mary Kretzmann:

Hello, my name is Mary Kretzmann. I'm the director of the Ananda Healing Prayer Ministry. You can find us at healingprayers.org. And I'm going to teach you today, one of Paramhansa Yogananda affirmations. It's called "Affirmation for Material Success."

Do We Have the Right to Be Wealthy?

It's a longer affirmation. And the beauty of it is it helps take you deep into your own subconscious, and becomes a great tool for you to move forward in life, if this is an area of concern, and of course, these days people are concerned.

And Paramhansa Yogananda also taught that even in difficult times the laws of divine prosperity are still operational. They may be operating at a different level, but that sense of feeling you're God's child and calling on their power to flow through you, and meet your needs now. Because these are needs for food and shelter, to take care of your family. So out of divine compassion, he brought this affirmation for people to use, and so I'm offering it to you now.

So, the affirmation is called the "Affirmation for Material Success." This is from the 1924 version of the Scientific Healing Affirmations. So, it goes like this:

Paramhansa Yogananda's "Affirmation for Material Success"

Thou art my Father, Success and joy.

I am Thy child, Success and joy.

All the wealth of this earth, All the riches of the universe

Belong to Thee, belong to Thee.

I am Thy child, The wealth of earth and universe

Belongs to me, O belongs to me.

I lived in thoughts of poverty, and wrongly fancied I was poor.

So I was poor.

But now I am home and Thy consciousness, has made me wealthy, made me rich.

I am success, I am rich. Thou art my Treasure, I am rich, I am rich.

Thou art everything, Thou art everything.

Thou art mine, I have everything, I have everything.

I am wealthy, I am rich, I have everything, I have everything.

I possess all and everything,

Even as Thou dost, even as Thou dost.

I possess everything, I possess everything.

Thou art my wealth, I have everything.

What Should We Emphasize When Doing This Affirmation?

So, these sacred words can help you. One thing he emphasizes in that second part, "I have everything, I have everything." Because it's a very important aspect of this. Because when you are suffering from poverty consciousness, you will often feel, "Oh, I can't have that, I can't afford that, I can't have it." And if these are the necessities of life, not just the luxuries of life, what are some necessities of food and clothing and shelter and taking good care of your family, etc. It's very important to replace those feelings to know that you do have everything.

You are God's child. As part of this universe, you have everything. And that is why he gave this affirmation. And that's the emphasis of those parts. In the second part, think of that infinity because he starts out, "Thou art my Father, success and joy." So, you’re calling that in and saying, as a Divine Child these things are right and good.

Where Can You Find More Detailed Information on the Affirmation for Material Success?

So, we will now go through it three times, to help you go deeper with it each time. So, we will also have it written out so you can follow it. And before we get into that part, I want to tell you that I go deeper into all of these things in a free online booklet. And it's called Opening to Divine Abundance, by Mary Kretzmann.

A Deeper Experience of the "Affirmation for Material Success"

So now we'll go through the affirmation with a lot of strength the first time. You want to do it with outward strength to declare it as true, because you're fighting those thoughts of disbelief in your mind. That's the whole point of taking this. And that's the point of memorizing it, because when you memorize it, it becomes part of your subconscious. It's no longer just something you read that Paramhansa Yogananda said. As you memorize it, it becomes part of your subconscious, as well.

Now I am home and Thy consciousness, has made me wealthy, made me rich.

I am success, I am rich. Thou art my Treasure, I am rich, I am rich.

Thou art everything, Thou art everything.

Thou art mine, I have everything, I have everything.

I am wealthy, I am rich, I have everything, I have everything.

I possess all and everything, Even as Thou dost, even as Thou dost.

I possess everything, I possess everything.

Thou art my wealth, I have everything.

And now we'll take it inside a little bit more the bring that intensity inside, still declaring to your higher self and to God.

Now I am home and Thy consciousness has made me wealthy, made me rich.

I am success, I am rich. Thou art my Treasure, I am rich, I am rich.

Thou art everything, Thou art everything.

Thou art mine, I have everything, I have everything

I am wealthy, I am rich, I have everything, I have everything.

I possess all and everything,

Even as Thou dost, even as Thou dost.

I possess everything, I possess everything.

Thou art my wealth, I have everything.

Now inside, bringing the energy up the spine to the spiritual eye, declaring this even more purely more completely:

Thou art my Father, Success and joy.

I am Thy child, Success and joy.

All the wealth of this earth, All the riches of the universe

Belong to Thee, belong to Thee.

I am Thy child, The wealth of earth and universe

Belongs to me, O belongs to me.

I lived in thoughts of poverty, and wrongly fancied I was poor.

So I was poor.

Now I am home and Thy consciousness has made me wealthy, made me rich.

I am success, I am rich. Thou art my Treasure, I am rich, I am rich.

Thou art everything, Thou art everything.

Thou art mine, I have everything, I have everything.

I am wealthy, I am rich, I have everything, I have everything.

I possess all and everything,

Even as Thou dost, even as Thou dost

I possess everything, I possess everything.

Thou art my wealth, I have everything.
