Swami Kriyananda’s musical production spans over four decades. He often said that, throughout his life, melodies have always easily come to him. When he wanted to write a melody for a specific topic, or as background for a slide show, all he had to do was to offer that topic up to superconsciousness, and the perfect melody would almost instantly be given to him.

One of the aspects of his creativity was the ability to tune into a particular country and then compose music in the style and tradition of that particular area.  He wrote Celtic music, Italian music, Japanese music, Egyptian music, etc. After a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the early 80’s, deeply inspired by the living presence of Christ there, he wrote a full Oratorio, called Christ Lives, for solos, choir, and various instruments.
