Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

We understand that unforeseen details might arise that prevent you from traveling to The Expanding Light Retreat as you had planned. Here are some guidelines to consider when you are faced with the prospect of canceling your reservation with us.

  • If you cancel or reschedule on or before 7 days prior to your arrival date, we can refund your entire payment, less a $55 processing fee.
  • If you cancel or reschedule within 7 days of your arrival date, we will hold your deposit for one year as a credit for a future stay, less a $55 processing fee. If you have paid more than the deposit, we will refund the surplus amount to you.
  • For Yoga Teacher Training: If you cancel or reschedule on or before 14 days prior to your arrival date, we can refund your entire payment, less a $100 processing fee. If you cancel or reschedule with shorter notice, the entire deposit is forfeited. If you have paid more than the deposit, we will refund the surplus amount to you.
  • We process all refunds using the same credit card which you used to process the balance.
  • In the event of an extreme circumstance, such as severe weather, we may cancel a program. In this case, we can refund your full deposit, or hold the full amount as a credit for a future stay, your choice.
  • Try to be sure you are getting the accommodations you will be happy with. If you wish to change rooms after your arrival, we will make every effort to accommodate the change, depending on availability. There is a $15 housekeeping fee for moving you to a new room.

Smoking/Marijuana Policy

Drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited from our campus, including marijuana use.

Smoking cigarettes (including e-cigarettes) is allowable outside on the alphalt parking lot only. Smoking in or near any of our buildings are strictly prohibited.
