Dear Healing Prayer group,
Some of you have heard that I had a car accident on the way to the airport at 3:40 am on Saturday, Dec. 3.ย So I never went on my trip that was announced in my last blog.
It was raining and pitch black and my husband, Bhima, had to slam on the brakes at one point only a few minutes away from home. But the car didn’t stop… The insurance adjuster said it sounds like the brakes failed… Alternatively, a trusted mechanic told my husband that older tires (even if they look good and have perfect tread) can release a tiny bit of their rubber as a powder when there is a hard stop… and the effect is as though one has hit black ice. That makes sense to me. My tires looked perfect – but they were older because I don’t put too many miles on the car.
The car went across the road and over a ledge of sorts. It felt surreal. We were airborne. There are very few moments in life when you truly don’t have any idea what the next moment will bring.
The tow truck owner said to me a few days later – “That was quite a flight you took!”ย ย He said it was about 30 feet…And about a 15 or 20-foot drop.ย
Once the car landed – I was surprised that we were okay. My tailbone and my sternum (from the seatbelt) felt sore right away, but I knew it wasn’t serious. Nothing felt broken. So we calmly started to text or call relatives. It was a remote area so I was glad we had a little bit of signal (one bar). Bhima was able to call emergency services.
We waited for the emergency workers out by the road… I was so relieved that we could walk away from the wreck…The car was totaled.
Several days later we went to look at the scene of the wreck.ย In the daylight, I saw a huge brush pile of willowy sticks (not heavy branches or logs) and the hood of the car had plowed into the pile creating a “cave” about 3-4 feet deep…ย My jaw dropped. The brush pile was almost as good as a huge haystack and had stopped the car from continuing forward or from rolling over. I felt a deeper sense of God’s protection in this serious situation. That night I had a dream of Swamiji… Just a few of us were sitting in a living room and he was giving a satsang, speaking of keeping a sense of soul freedom no matter what happens… I awoke with a sense of blessing and gratitude.
A friend suggested that I start back in with a part-time schedule for the prayers for the planet, instead of the usual 7 days a week. That felt right. My tailbone and sternum area are still healing, though they feel much better than before.ย So here is the revised schedule through the New Year:
I will resume prayer satsangs on Saturday, December 17.
I will take Thursday, Friday, and Sunday off for the rest of this year. Thank you for understanding.ย
Monday Evening Prayers for the Planetโ 7:00 PM Pacific Time โ (Off Dec 26)
Tuesday Evening Prayersย โย 5-6 PM Pacific Time โ Prayers for the Planet followed by prayers for individuals. (Off Dec 27)ย
Wednesday Noon Prayersย โย Noon to 1 PMย (Pacific Time) โ Prayers for the Planet followed by prayers for individuals.
- Note: I will lead these Wednesday noon sessions every other week;ย ย Jitendraย from Ananda Online will lead on the alternate week.
Thursday – OFF
Friday – OFF
Saturday Morning Prayersย โย 8:00-9 AM Pacific Time โPlanetary prayers followed by prayers for individuals.
Sunday – OFF

My goodness, what an experience! God sure put you and Bhima to the test with that one. I’m so glad you are so strong mentally to have ridden the flight and its aftermath with such grace. It wasn’t at all the flight you’d intended! Now it’s time for *you* to be blessed with our healing prayers. Aum!
You are so right! That wasn’t the flight we had intended. It was so strange to be sitting in the car in the bushes and letting my mind adjust to the fact that life had suddenly shifted…

Thank you for all of your kind words and prayers. Bhima went to the crash spot and said we easily “flew” 30 feet or more… He will confirm at some point. (the first time I went to check, he stayed in the truck because his knees were still sore from the accident. They are better now.
A friend in India – a member of the zoom prayer groups, said she felt a force trying to destroy me in real-time…She only later heard about the accident. She could also feel a layer of protection come over me…She quoted some lines from Psalms 91:…
——–You were small in size. A huge force came from the right , very strong force just like a storm that would blow away every thing that came on its way. It was conscious, it had some jealousy towards you. It knew you were there. You were very tiny in front of it.
A layer was formed over you and it went in force over you.
It went away. It was still conscious that you were protected.
anyone or anything that would have been present there it would have crushed it.
I also feel a little fear as I write this.
…..to overcome the after-effects still keep yourself protected.
Yes you pray for the world and all of us and our Masters are there for protection. And a good thing is you were tiny in the face of it – but you were strong I didnโt see you weak.

Oh!—please see Psalm 91 he did cover you with his feathers.
Few days ago I dreamt of Swami ji . I saw him with feathers too.
