A 2014 Janaka Foundation Grant was given to Ananda India in Pune. It is on the Pune retreat land that a Temple Project has begun. The photos below were taken during the monsoon season in 2014, when the foundation was being poured and the plinth formed. (The “plinth” is the piece that sits on top of the foundation and provides the support base for both the walls and the weight of the roof!) Most of the labor force hired for this project comes from the local area.
