The Janaka Foundation grant to Ananda Los Angeles for $5,000 will be used to build out the Ananda Desert Retreat at 29 Palms, California. The retreat sits on 30 secluded acres with mountains to the north and east, and Joshua Tree monument to the south.
Currently the retreat serves as a seclusion place for our community members and other groups and individuals who rent it for their own retreats and seclusions. The retreat has a 3 bedroom, two bath house, and a yurt temple.
The Janaka grant will be used specifically for finishing work on the temple and to add some temporary guest facility structures.
