Making a Beneficiary Designation is an easy way to do Estate Gift Planning. These Designations can be made on an IRA or other retirement plan; on a Life Insurance policy; and on investment accounts. Each account usually allows for more than one Designation, so you can leave a percentage to family and/or friends, as well as to the charitable organizations that are important to you.

Provide the following (or other appropriate language) to your retirement plan administrator or to your insurance company. Or ask them to provide you with the form needed.

“I hereby designate the Janaka Foundation, 14618 Tyler Foote Rd., #242, Nevada City, California as recipient of $ __________ (or _________ %) of the proceeds of my [retirement plan, insurance policy, or investment account].

Ananda Janaka Foundation Tax ID number: 94-3400189

Giving to a charitable organization is tax deductible.
