Kristy found her spiritual home at Ananda in 1994 when she moved to the Santa Cruz Mountain town of Boulder Creek. There she became a regular at Sunday services and Ananda Yoga classes. About nine years later Kristy and Doug (Yudhishthira) became a couple and taught many classes together. Kristy would also leave a lasting musical and dramatic impression on much of Ananda through her original compositions and role with the Ananda Palo Alto Players. She wrote and co-directed the stage production of Meeting the Master. Kristy became an Ananda minister around 2014, an Ananda certified yoga teacher in June 2018, and was a beloved and vital leader at Ananda Scotts Valley until her passing from cancer on December 5, 2018.
