Guided Meditation and Yoga
The practice of Meditation brings many benefits. One important benefit is healing of the nervous system.
Meditation gives peace. Inner peace is like a lubricating oil that enables the machinery of our lives to function smoothly. Without mental peace, our emotions and the various challenges that we face in life create inner stress that can lead to physical and nervous break down.
Negative emotions create blocks in the heart and in the flow of life force in the body.
The nervous system was not made to withstand the destructive force of intense emotion or persistent negative thoughts and feelings.

Sunday Service Inspiration and Ways to Live The Teachings Every Day
The Sunday worship service at Ananda communities everywhere, is inspired by the meditation tradition of the East and the ancient teachings of mystical Christianity, with inspirational readings from both the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. Service includes music, group chanting and meditation, an inspirational talk drawn from the writings of Paramhansa Yogananda or his Disciple, Nayaswami Kriyananda, and a unique blessing ceremony called the Festival of Light. Each week there is a new theme, seemingly running parallel with life’s events.
