I had been on a perpetual search for a spiritual anchor, till I was guided to Ananda Online, and I have no doubt, it was by Master’s grace..
I knew there were 4 steps to traverse before I could receive Kriya, yet I was drawn to the Path of Kriya like a bee to honey! Once I got going, nothing could stop me. Despite the pandemic raging through the world, it has been a very productive and peaceful 2020 for me.
The course is beautifully structured. The teachers are amazing, true embodiments of Masters teachings! Ever joyful, ever patient and always willing to help when one felt stuck and unmotivated. Thank you to each one!
Highly recommend the course to all who wish to live by Paramhansa Yogananda’s Teachings.

At the point that I applied for the Lessons in Mediation course I had already received the SRF lessons and I knew I was on the path that was right for me, but I felt overwhelmed and stuck. Within minutes of joining the first Ananda webinar I knew I had found what I needed to take me forward. The teachers are like family, you feel like you are on this journey together, and they could not be more encouraging or understanding.

I was glad of the four courses prior to Kriya initiation, I liked the need to attend the webinars and answer the quizzes, because the discipline of that helped me build a desire, and a routine, to meditate, and it also gave time for the thought-provoking teachings to sink in. Also, you learn not just from the ideas but by observing devotees who have been on this path for many years, for they are living examples of Master’s teachings. It’s nice to see familiar names of students progressing from course to course, just like you. The programmes are well-paced and informative, and a good mix of videos, texts and audio. It’s great that you can access them indefinitely, as you need to revisit the teachings time and again to properly take them in.

So what do you discover? Well it’s a slow unfolding, and probably always will be, but you begin to realise that you have a rich inner life, (of which you may previously have been unaware), and that by following the training, and allowing yourself to let go, you have access to something you may never have experienced before – such as intense joy, deep love, awareness of an inner light, intuition, a prevailing sense of peace and calm or even bliss. You find yourself increasingly detached from the external world, because your inner world feels more real by comparison. Which is not to say that it won’t all go pear-shaped at times, or that you’ll not get distracted when you should be focused, or that the meditations won’t ever go “dry” for periods, but you have to hang on in there and ride the storm. If you stick with it your progress is inevitable, even if that progress may show in ways other than you think you want or expect.

This course, and the grace of receiving Kriya, has given me a purpose in life and a goal. But it’s also given me something I didn’t have before – the presence of God and Guru in my life, and the knowledge that however difficult life gets at times, it’s like that to help me grow spiritually. This sense of Them being ever there in my life, guiding me, loving and helping me, is the greatest of all blessings. I will be ever grateful to Ananda for awakening me to this.

I benefited from these studies so much. My meditations became regular and much deeper. I now practice energization exercises every day. We even bought a harmonium to deepen our devotion and enjoy more spiritual uplifting music in our house. I understand these teachings more profoundly and I feel much closer to my guru than ever before. My days are full of chanting and prayers. I honestly have to admit that these courses made a tremendous transformation in my spiritual life. I am very happy that these classes are, that there is a possibility to take them online, I am very grateful to the committed teachers and all board. Once again, it proved to me that I am on the right path, with the right teachings and people.

Excellent course. I had already received Kriya through SRF and still found Ananda’s classes very informative and beneficial. All four separate courses are necessary to fully understand the material. The program is taken at your own speed. I needed additional time to complete some sections because of medical issues. The instructors are awesome and generously offered me as much time as I needed. I found the instructors both knowledgable and approachable! So glad to have found Ananda.

I thought of taking the Lessons in Meditation course in 2020 with a view to learning meditation as taught by Paramhansa Yogananda and our lineage of Gurus. I never knew there were 4 steps! But here I am now having completed them and receiving the gift of Kriya thanks to Gurudevas grace.

Ever since the first course, the Ananda course teachers gradually help you to start expanding your consciousness and to attune it to the consciousness of the great ones.

I would encourage anyone who wants to live a life of bliss, peace and of service in their own unique way as a ray of light in this world to consider walking on the Path of Kriya.

    1. I was not surprised to find how much was involved in achieving Kriya initiation. Having followed a number of spiritual paths over many years, I understand that a spiritual initiation is a major undertaking and really should not be offered to those who are just looking around. We live in an age of instant gratifications and need to understand that such deeply spiritual gifts should not be cast ‘as pearls before swine’.
    2. I found the courses superbly well organised but quite demanding of time. I’m retired but with an educational background, so I have a fair idea of what to expect. I must say that I would have found it difficult to meet the time requirements if I were working and with a young family. But then, the same would be if I were doing university courses, so I don’t think that is a valid criticism. I’m also finding it difficult at times to fit in all my practices, but again, I would say, that is a factor of how committed you are. I’m not looking at becoming a monk in this life and so accept that my progress will be slower. There is also the regular offer of time extensions if needed, which I think covers that issue well. I have been so impressed by the quality of the Ananda presenters from my very first contact and the whole organisation. I continue to say, ‘By their fruits shall ye know them’, and thank you all for your wonderful, devoted work.
