Introduction to the Comprehensive Path of Kriya Yoga
Kriya Yoga is a comprehensive spiritual path that includes a meditation technique that quickly accelerates one’s spiritual growth. It was first made widely known by Paramhansa Yogananda in his Autobiography of a Yogi. According to Yogananda, Kriya is the most effective practice available to mankind today for reaching the goal of Yoga: union with the Divine.

The course is review for me — and who doesn’t need that? Years of spiritual practice, it’s easy to already sit still and be quiet for long periods. Adding the techniques of Kryia and listening to music, readings, sermons or what have you is always fit. We’re all going here sooner or later. Thank you for the additional support through this class.

After reading Diary of a Yogi, I felt incredibly inspired to investigate more into how I could go the path of Kriya Yoga. I discovered Ananda online. After exploring the website I immediately knew I wanted to take the online courses, as I am too far from any Ananda centers at the moment. The Free introduction to the path of Kriya is a great way to get a feel for how to go about this, and to see what a wonderful community of beautiful and happy people are here.

I really enjoyed taking this introductory course. The content is vey interesting and is delivered through reading, video and audio materials. I think it provides a very clear understanding that through consistent meditation it is possible to come to a deeper understanding of oneself and our place in the universe, and that we can become free of the superficial distractions that we are surrounded by in this modern world as we move closer to God-realisation.
The course focuses on the benefits of meditation but does not really focus much on meditation techniques. It gives one simple technique in the first week that I was able to practice throughout the course, but I had hoped for more emphasis on this area.
Having said that, I will be signing up for the first course in the ‘Path to Kriya Yoga’ series. I have been feeling much calmer since starting to practice meditation for a few minutes in the morning and evenings, and I have started to become more aware of the relentlessness of my thoughts throughout the day.
I am looking forward to developing a deeper practice and to learning more ways to meditate.

The introduction to Kriya Yoga was quite an interesting course. For us looking to undertake this path, building a good foundation should be critical for success. The introductory course does that with a healthy balance between the quality of the content and the exposure to a community of extraordinary people. I hope to take the path, reap the benefits of joining the ongoing dialog at the Ananda community, and continue to grow in my spiritual path.
Online schools are probably best for guys like me.
I found the introductory course to Kriya yoga very interesting as it gives a good understanding of Kriya yoga and is easy for people new to Kriya to understand. If I had to give it a rating from 1-10 where 1 is not good and 10 is excellent, I give it 10!
