Controlling the Reactive Process with Kriya Yoga

Swami Kriyananda
April 6, 2015

Swami Kriyananda encourages us to pay attention to the profound meaning of what the Masters say and endeavor to show us in often small and seemingly insignificant ways. He shares a story about the ways Paramhansa Yogananda often engaged in lighthearted and fun activities to remind them not to be overly grave and to remind them of the joy and fun of the spiritual path. These components are also integral components of the journey to Self-realization.
Kriyananda states that religious organizations essentially should support and nurture the individual’s relationship with God rather than make the individual subservient to the organization. He encourages everyone to have faith in their inner guidance and intuition because the ultimate goal for devotees is Self-realization and direct communion with the Divine.
