Our online ministry is growing exponentially. Nearly half a million people from every country in the world came to Ananda.org in 2008, 60% of them for the first time. Constantly updated and free of charge, our online content offers the timeless teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Kriyananda, and Ananda ministers.
Our current project is the global redesign of Ananda.org using beautiful new templates, streamlined navigation, and the latest Internet technology.
The reasons behind this effort are the thousands of truth seekers throughout the world for whom Ananda online is the only means of receiving spiritual instruction and inspiration.

Online Classes |
In a continued effort to reach our worldwide audience, we are developing an online classes program. This year, for the first time, we will be able to offer courses via the Internet that before would have necessitated a trip to The Expanding Light Retreat.
A part of this initiative is the best-selling Ananda Course in Self-Realization Part 1: Lessons in Meditation and Part 2: The Art and Science of Raja Yoga.

Group Prayers
|
Ananda Healing Prayer Ministry, and the Healing Prayer Council, consisting of about 700 devotees around the world, answer new prayer requests every day, in addition to offering prayers for world peace. Mary Kretzmann, the Healing Prayer Ministry Director, coordinates the Council’s activities and teaches others in the use of Yogananda’s healing techniques.
In 2009 we plan to release online videos on Yogananda's healing at a distance techniques.

After the Kriya Initiation |
Ananda Kriya Yoga Sangha prepares devotees for initiation into Kriya Yoga, offers ongoing support after the initiation, and promotes the benefits of regular Kriya Yoga practice.
In 2009 we will have about 30 Kriya Initiations in many locations throughout the world, including Ananda Village, the East and West Coasts of U.S., Ohio, Texas, Mexico, and Argentina.
In 2008, in conjunction with the Ananda Spanish Ministry, we initiated over fifty devotees into Kriya Yoga in different parts of Mexico. Pictured in the photo above is Dave Warner, director of the Kriya Yoga Sangha, after a Kriya Yoga initiation in Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico.
The Kriya Yoga Sangha will take part in the Online Learning Classes, offering Part III of the Ananda Course in Self-Realization online.

The New Path
|
Crystal Clarity is the publishing arm of Ananda Sangha Worldwide. It offers over 150 books, audio, and music titles based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Kriyananda, and Ananda ministers. Many of these are available online, including the best-selling Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda. Of the top-selling Yogananda's books nationwide, Crystal Clarity publishes three.
It is through your generous donations that we are able to print new books.
Swami Kriyananda has recently rewritten his autobiography The Path, which will be available as a special signed edition in 2009. The title of the new book is The New Path: My Life with Paramhansa Yogananda. It offers never-heard-before stories of Yogananda, clarifies nuances of Yogananda's teaching, and expands the view of Yogananda's world mission.
Another new book by Swami Kriyananda is Religion in the New Age and Other Essays for the Spiritual Seeker. A fascinating, thought-provoking collection, it portrays the worlds' religious, political and social institutions from the viewpoint of different cycles of time.

Pranaba Hansen

Ananda has about 100 Meditation Groups in 23 countries.
Pranaba Hansen, the Director of Ananda Meditation groups, offers ongoing support and guidance to them through correspondence, counseling, and personal visits.
In 2009 he will travel to Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Arizona, California, Colorado, and Rhode Island to give programs there on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.

Mexico Kriya Initiates |
Ananda's Spanish Ministry supports hundreds of devotees throughout South America.
Amanda Alzate, one of coordinators of Ananda Espanol, will visit Argentina to assist in a Kriya Yoga Initiation, and Mexico City to teach How to Meditate workshops.
Margarita Goering, who also works with the Spanish Ministry, is engaged in revision of the Ananda Espanol website.
We are preparing for publication in Spanish the books Money Magnetism, How to Meditate, and The New Path. |

Our free Online Meditation Support continues to offer valuable insights into the art of meditation to practitioners around the world.
New offerings in 2009 will include guided visualizations and audio presentations to help one go deeper into the meditation techniques taught by Yogananda.

Radio Ananda Online broadcasts free inspiration of Ananda music and talks by Swami Kriyananda and other ministers 24/7, 365!
Recent additions to the broadcast include excerpts from the recording of Swami Kriyananda’s Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, specifically for the benefit of listeners in the Middle East and India.

Ananda Musicians |
Music has always been an essential part of Ananda's ministry. In 2009 our musicians will be recording new pieces by Swami Kriyananda, arranged for choir and orchestra. We are exploring Internet technology that will enable us to broadcast concerts live the web broadcasts to uplift and inspire listeners around the world.
Our plans for 2009 include creating a new section on Ananda.org dedicated specifically to the music. It will include articles, recordings, tutorials, and more!
A newly formed Anadna Youth Choir will be performing music from Swami Kriyananda’s Christ Lives Oratorio during 2009 Easter festivities.
