What will be your spiritual legacy?

For over fifty years, thousands of people have drawn inspiration and spiritual support from the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda through Ananda’s outreach ministries. Their gratitude has been expressed through their generous donations, which have made this work possible.

The Ananda Janaka Foundation was established to secure Ananda’s financial future and provide an income that protects Ananda’s mission from economic uncertainty.

From a seed to a flourishing garden…

Swami Kriyananda, inspired by his Guru Paramhansa Yogananda’s vision, founded Ananda with a small group of individuals. Today over 140,000 people attend our temples, meditation groups, centers, and retreats worldwide, and over a million people visit Ananda’s online resources annually.

A growing number of truth seekers will continue to rely on these resources offering the inspiration of yoga and meditation. Throughout the years Ananda’s organic growth has been made possible through the generosity of individual donors and planned gifts.

What is Estate Gift Planning

It is a planning process that allows you to shape your spiritual legacy through charitable giving allocated to Ananda. Your gifts can be current or deferred, revocable (bequest) or irrevocable (charitable trust). Estate gift planning techniques can provide you with a stream of income and/or estate tax benefits.

Include Ananda in Your Will

You can do so by including the Ananda Janaka Foundation in your will, as an IRA beneficiary or life insurance beneficiary, or as a trust beneficiary of your living trust or Charitable Remainder trust — just to name a few options.

If you simply need the language for your will you can find that information here: Sample Bequest Language

Other resources you might find simple and helpful:

If you need help to begin, there are Will apps, software, or talk to your estate planning attorney.

Regardless of the size, your thoughtful estate gift will enable Ananda to offer Yogananda’s teachings to truth-seeking souls for many years to come.
