Melody Hansen

E-RYT 500 , C-IAYT

Melody directs the Ananda Yoga Assistantship, Ananda Yoga Teacher Training and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training online programs. She is a Certified Ananda Yoga Therapist, C-IAYT and a trained Prenatal Yoga Instructor. Melody has been practicing the teachings of yoga since the age of 14, and began teaching at age 17. She loves to help her students experience the depth of Ananda Yoga and Meditation.

Melody is an extraordinary yoga teacher, who conveys her great knowledge of yoga asanas—from physical mechanics to spiritual upliftment—with a blend of graciousness, authority, and fun. One of Melody’s greatest strengths is the purity of her transmission of Yoga. She has very little egotism to block the clear flow of inspiration she shares. Her inner life is committed and deep, and she’s able to help students experience that depth in their yoga practice.

This course met my expectation. This course pushed me past my comfort zone, and I experienced personal growth in the process...This course gave me the confidence to finally step off my yoga mat and to use these skills to assist or adjust my students. I now see that stepping off my yoga mat is a blessing I give to them! Thank you for this gift!

Your hard work has made a difference in the yoga lives of all us students, and will ripple out to our students. I’ve been afraid to do touch assists and have only done cues to the entire class. So now I feel much more confident to start being of service in this way. That is huge! I certainly could have used this course sooner! But it came at a good time to reboot my yoga, and of course the hours of teaching behind me helped to set the stage for better understanding.
