Prayers for India

Dear Ones,

Ananda is starting a one-month call for prayer for India during the current virus crisis. Prayers will be offered online twice a day, 8 am and 8 pm. 

I will personally be leading prayers starting this coming Saturday morning (May 1 at 8 am)  and every subsequent Saturday morning in May. Join me if you can. I will leave extra time in the end for any covid related emergency prayers, especially from India – but elsewhere as well.

Other Ananda members will be leading daily prayers at 8 am and 8 pm.

India has a huge population of 1.3 billion people. Some regions are being hit much more deeply than others, with the heaviest hit being the most densely populated areas.  Some people say that per capita the covid deaths/cases in India are not any higher than the rest of the world, but when we take into account that many of the cases are concentrated in several urban areas, then we can see that the situation is quite alarming.

During our Wednesday online zoom prayers, we prayed for a man in Dehli who was being transported by ambulance to Chandigarh  – 5 hours away – because every hospital in Dehli was absolutely full. But we could sense that God’s healing grace was healing his distress as he traveled (of course – they were also giving him oxygen). We got a report the next day that he was still in the hospital but had improved greatly.

In the healing prayer section on Prayers for World Peace there is a healing visualization that I have adapted for this special prayer effort for India now. Use all or part of it, as you wish, in your meditations.

Visualization for Healing in India

Feel Light and Divine Power flowing through you as you serve as an instrument of God’s healing grace.

First – Visualize the Earth floating between your hands. It may be helpful to think of the beautiful photos of it taken from outer space. See the aura of the Earth filled with harmony and light. Gently move your hands in space over the Earth, sending the divine healing light of God to all areas. Pray for light, benevolence, and divine cooperation to flow around the planet.

Then visualize India. Visualize light and love flowing through the many temples and spiritual groups as they send prayers to the sick, and console the grieving families.  Then see God’s Light flowing through all hospitals and healthcare workers.  Pray that they are blessed with Divine strength and dharma as they help everyone they can. 

Pray for the patients, their families, volunteers, and health care workers to be embraced by Divine Mothers Love.

Lift up India into God’s Light. Ask Divine Mother to bless all souls. Ask Her to give special encouragement to the souls that strive to bring light to everyone around them. May these “angels” be ever blessed as they spread God’s grace to all.
