Dear Ones,

Thank you all for prayers… My father passsed peacefully on March 2. By God’s grace i was able to sing holy songs to him, and to “coach” him about going up the spine into the Light. I was surprised at how much vigor and clarity he had even an hour before death, so much so that I thought, “This must not be the day.”ย  And yet it was.

Please keep my mother, Anne Hostage in your prayers. She is naturally a cheerful person, and that inner joy serves her well now. But, of course, there are tearful times.

I am staying on with my mother through the week… The funeral will be held on Friday at 10 am.

I wrote my father’s obituary today, and we met with the priest to decide on the readings and sacred songs for the funeral.

Blessings,

Mary Kretzmann

  27. Dear Mary,

What a wonderful service was given for your father. The church itself is unusually uplifting, and the service was so sincere, I loved watching it.

The story of your dad in the cafe and how nobly he handled the situation is a real teaching. And it was good to hear your lovely strong voice sing Ave Maria for your father. It was your gift to him. Similarly, I sang “How Great Thou Art”, my dad’s favorite hymn, at his funeral service.

I hope your Mom is able to adjust to her new phase of life. In a while, they will meet again.

Thank you for sharing these moments with us. Bless you!

      Thank you, Kalyani.
Your kind words mean a lot to me. And you understand, I imagine, that question of whether or not one can sing under those circumstances, but by God’s grace, it comes to pass.
      Love in Him,
      Mary
