Nayaswami Jyotish, spiritual successor to Swami Kriyananda, and his wife Devi, are currently traveling around India giving programs on bringing spirituality into your everyday life. Today is our last full day in Italy. Tomorrow evening we fly to Delhi and begin nearly three months of traveling and teaching in all of Ananda’s centers in India.
AnandaIndiaOnline.org, a website with online classes for Ananda India devotees, has just launched a redesign of their website. The content is now more organized and they have a calendar of events.
Recently an Ananda member gave a talk at the United Nations for the International Day of Yoga on June 21st. Watch a video of her talk.
Ananda has recently started asking people to pledge their meditation time in the hopes of getting a total of 1 million hours of meditation for world peace and harmony. So far we have received nearly 15,000 pledges from 61 countries, mostly from beginning meditators and people who are new to Ananda. Keep up the good work! Make your meditation pledge
Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi left on Wednesday to visit Ananda Italy and to travel around India giving programs. They will return to Ananda Village in November. See their program schedule
Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi recently gave a program at the Multnomah Hotel, where Paramhansa Yogannada stayed in the 1920’s. They were joined by spiritual teachers from other paths, including a Sufi, rabbis, and a Christian minister. There were over 200 people in attendance.
Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi are going to Portland on July 20th to do programs, including a bigger one on Friday. It will be in a hotel that Paramhansa Yogananda stayed at during his “spiritual campaigns”. They will be joined by a Rabbi, Sufi, and Christian minister. They will return to Ananda Village on July 24th.
This year Springtime at Ananda, an annual event at the Crystal Hermitage at Ananda Village, drew 7,500 people to come see thousand of tulips.
Kyle from Ananda New York gave a talk recently on Paramhansa Yogananda’s teachings at the World Yoga Day event at the U.N. The presentation went very well and many came up to her afterwards.
