Adhidaiva

अधिदैव

The consciousness manifest in astral bodies and in the astral world. Adhidaiva is the astral world, both as a whole and the individual beings in it. (1)

“O Supreme among the Embodied (Arjuna)! Adhibhuta is the basis of physical existence; Adhidaiva is the basis of astral existence; and I (the Spirit manifested ideationally, both macro- and micro-cosmically) am Adhiyagya.” —The Bhagavad Gita 8:4, from The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita by Swami Kriyananda.

Paramhansa Yogananda stated that, as Adhibhuta, God’s presence in the physical universe and in the physical body can only be inferred. As Adhidaiva, God’s presence is felt. As Adhiyagya, His presence in the causal world is known intuitively. (1)
