All my powers are but borrowed powers from Thee.
No one is greater than Thee, O my Father.
We cease to live and express without Thy wisdom and strength.
Thou art so big; we are so little.
Teach us not to be proud.
Thou art the Guru Preceptor, teaching in the temple of all souls.
I bow to Thee at the feet of everyone.
I will conquer pride by humility, wrath by love, excitement by calmness.
I will feel honored when chastised for doing God’s work.
I will rejoice for any opportunity to give love when hated.
I will realize that praise does not make me any better, nor blame any less.
I am what I am before my own conscience and God.
I will care nothing for piercing false criticism, or for garlands of praise thrown to me.
I will travel on, doing good to all and pleasing God,
for thus have I found my only true happiness.
O Father, no matter what my tests may be, teach me to bear them joyously by feeling Thy presence always in my heart.
When pain or anger or any kind of suffering comes to me I will view it like a spectator.
I will endeavor to retain peace and happiness at all costs.
