Swami Kriyananda
The Christmas song by Swami Kriyananda called “The Christ Child’s Asleep” holds a special inspirational feeling about the celebration of Christ’s birth. It also addresses the broader issue of how ‘all people here on earth’ can uplift their consciousness into the highest Christ Consciousness.
Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda often mentioned that Christ did not come to show us how great He was but to show us our own true potential.

The passage above describes an important aspect of Christ Consciousness. It is something we each need to come to on our own. When we truly ‘receive’ the blessings Christ is offering, our consciousness expands. Then we will naturally project to others the peace, joy, and love that we feel.
We can open our hearts and our minds to allow ourselves to hear and see things that we have never thought of before. If you feel to, you can ask directly, ‘Christ, show me your ways, and show me how to open myself to your higher consciousness, without judgment about myself or anyone else.’
During the Christmas season, there is a special opening and joining of heaven and earth. We can be more aware of the blessings in our lives at this time!
Our uplifted thoughts, prayers, and actions can be a tremendous force toward the greater good for all!

I sing or play a recording of this song at all times of the year. It’s like a road map on the path of self-realization. The song continues to amaze me and open up greater channels of understanding of who I am, and what my relationship with Christ is all about.
