Move Inwards and Upwards ~ Essence of the Bhagavad Gita, Class 79, Verse 7:5
In our worldly lives, we become comfortable where we are and don't want to change anything. We become embroiled in what we like. In this verse Krishna is explaining how the world works. How our Individuality is an impersonal Cosmic reality. Ego is not really an enemy; it is the 'jiva' identified with a limited personality. We have the capacity to direct the energy either inwards and upwards or get in the downward spiral of outward energy.
