We send you our loving thoughts from Gurgaon, where we arrived yesterday from Singapore, after a very relaxing flight from San Francisco, CA to Hong Kong. The work in Singapore is very dynamic and led by Yogi Yeo, a very dedicated man, who feels like an old friend and fellow gurubhai. We were joined in Singapore by a number of our Ananda center leaders from India. It was a joy to see everyone again.
On Friday we toured the extraordinary Singapore Botanical Gardens and especially enjoyed the orchid display with hundreds of varieties. That evening we had dinner with the Singapore core group and celebrated the Chinese New Year. On Saturday we gave a public discourse on “Kriya Yoga in the Modern Age,” with 180 people in attendance. Afterwards 50 people signed up for Level 1 Meditation classes. We had available copies of our new book entitled, Touch of Light: Living the Teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.
Sunday morning began with a Kriya Initiation for about 30 people that included ten new kriyabans. That evening we had dinner and satsang with all the center members at a beautiful apartment complex where one of the devotees live.
Monday morning we left bright and early for Delhi, where we visited with Ananda India center leaders. Thursday we’ll have a satsang at the center in Gurgaon, then on to Mumbai for a weekend of programs. More later…we’ll be in touch.
