Answer

Dear Prinyanka,

I suspect you are tensing your forehead muscles and eyes when you meditate. Try relaxing these muscles while gently holding your gaze steady at the point between the eyebrows.

I don’t recommend you stop meditating. It would be helpful to practice Yogananda’s energization exercises and/or hatha yoga postures prior to your meditations. The primary thing to remember is to offer your heart’s love to God as you chant and become increasingly absorbed in the sound of Aum and the Light at the point between the eyebrows.

Bless you in your practice and communion with Divine Mother!
