Stages of Soul Evolution

Question

When a soul evolves into its first human body, what are the likely characteristics of that person?

—Truthseeker, Saudi Arabia

Answer

A person newly in the human body has animalistic desires and habits. It will use its body more for physical enjoyment, trying to get the greatest physical enjoyment for the least amount of effort (example: a couch potato). They will not be mental. They will be lazy physically and mentally, and selfish.

The soul by repeatedly trying to find the most enjoyment in life, eventually discovers that by putting out energy (even in a selfish way) they find more joy than being lazy. After acting selfishly for a long while, they discover that selflessness brings more joy and satisfaction.

Basically, our search for the greatest happiness – even when it starts out in a purely materialistic way – can’t help but lead us to becoming more selfless, more serviceful, and eventually to seek God.

I hope this is helpful to you.
