I hope you are feeling much improved by the time this reaches you. Unfortunately, this is becoming a fairly common problem around the world. You ask a good question on how does one develop receptivity, and also pray effectively, when you feel so ill.
Please know that you have been receptive in the very act of asking other devotees to pray for you. This shows an openness to Guru’s grace to flow to you through their prayers.
Secondly, participate in the process by doing an appropriate affirmation. I often suggest the one, below, because by focusing deeply at at the spiritual eye – it helps us lift our consciousness as we affirm. This generates a positive magnetism that can bring healing to us in body, mind and soul.
Also, if you have a place where you can receive sunlight, please do so as Paramhansa Yogananda said it is a great force of healing. But one must use the mind the to draw the energy into the body to get the most benefit. Visualize the healing rays flowing into your body, penetrating past the skin. Visualize that the healing rays of God and the universe are flowing into you and healing you. (Even 15 minutes can be very helpful.)
And finally, a very simply but powerful way to practice receptivity is to rub the palms together, and then place them palms upward, receptively, and then chant AUM three times, drawing the healing power of AUM into your body, mind and soul.
God bless you. Please let us know you need further prayers.
Joy to you,

A Healing Affirmation by Paramhansa Yogananda
Focus deeply at the spiritual eye, and repeat three times:
“I will with my own will, which flows from the divine will, to be healthy to be well, to be prosperous and spiritual, to be well, to be well.”
