I have been practicing mindfulness for the past 3-4 months. But, I am not able to sit and meditate for more than 10 mins. I would like to sit and meditate for for longer duration. Please advice what to do?
As you may know, at Ananda we do not practice the mindfulness meditation technique. If that is your chosen path, it would be best for you to check with someone in the organization that taught you the technique and ask them your question.
Generally speaking, it is fine that you are meditating 10 minutes as long as you meditate regularly, every day, and you feel that your meditation is helping you to find inner peace.
When it is time to increase the length of meditation practice, you’ll feel it inside yourself and automatically do so.
