If you find yourself on a desert island…

Question

Hi,

I am just learning the energization exercises. I have limited time in the morning to both meditate and energize. Right now I am doing some of the exercises and then meditating for 20-30 minutes.

What is more important? How long will it take to learn them all? After I have learned them all, about how long will it take to do them, start to finish?

Thank you!

Answer

Dear Craig, I believe that Yogananda said if you were on an island and only knew energization exercises, you would find God.

These exercises are very important. And for new meditators, these exercises give you the needed energy to meditate properly.

They are designed by Yognananda to bring energy into the body cells so that you can more easily raise your energy up to the point between the eyebrows when you meditate.

With raised energy you can begin to understand larger flows of consciousness and broader concepts to work with. These exercises when you have learned them can be done in 10 minutes. If you do them properly with energy, it can be done in about 15.

Keep at it and don’t give up.

Joy to you,
Seva
