Whenever I am trying to concentrate on anything I am getting a pressure on my forehead in between and slightly above the centre of the eyebrows. The pressure is not intense but after concentrating on the pressure it becomes slightly intense. I had meditated before but not doing now. What would be the reason for this?
The 6th chakra, the ajna chakra, at the point between the eyebrows, is the center of concentration, will power, and higher consciousness.
When you concentrate at the point between your eyebrows, you are stimulating this chakra, and as a result, you might feel a pressure at this point. When you focus there with tension, then the pressure can become intense and painful.
When you tense the forehead in your attempt to concentrate, this can create pressure strain and pain. Concentration happens with the mind, and should not involve physical tension. So consciously relax the brow.
When you meditate and gaze at the point between your eyebrows with tension, this can cause a feeling of strain in the eyes and forehead. You need to look slightly out and up with no strain. Imagine that you are looking at a point about two feet in front of the forehead, slightly above the horizon line. If you feel tension in the eyes, lower your gaze slightly. As your attention begins to concentrate at the spiritual eye, your gaze will begin to move upward naturally.
I hope this will help you.
