As a teacher of Yoga, if you were to ask a student to try and perceive the flow of prana, what would this question mean? I.e. would it mean flow within a particular area eg circulating or merely centralized or could it mean a line of connection between one point and another? I’m just wondering how far the perception of the flow of prana may be perceived; this without the imagination/mind creating such a line?
Some students have hard time feeling the flow of energy. The easiest place to start is with the breath. By offering the student the handle of the breath, they can gradually start to grasp the feeling of prana.
Share easy breathing techniques, and let the student practice them for a while. A great system to share are the Energization Exercises by Paramhansa Yogananda. Using these exercises will help the student experience energy and tune into the subtle flow of it.
