I See Nothing in Meditation – Am I Not Persistent Enough?

Question

While meditating I see nothing but darkness, I only perceive a little pressure. Am I not persistent enough?

Answer

Dear Waltraud,

We are all different and have different experiences in meditation. Some see lights, others do not see any light at all. Some hear sounds. Others feel more.

Where is the light pressure you are experiencing? In the forehead? Then that is an excellent sign: energy is rising and arrives where it stimulates superconsciousness (in the spiritual eye). Try to relax your forehead completely and feel exactly that sensation. This should uplift and inspire your consciousness.

Regarding being persistent: if you meditate daily you are persistent enough. If not, it would be good to work on it, making it a daily practice.

All the best,
Jayadev
