Long-Term Impact of Thoughts

Question

I came across a book by the name of The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton where he argues that our thoughts determine the development and changes in our body and mind through the proportionate release of hormones and cellular responses (this notion is not simply an idealistic exhortation). Subsequently to a large extent, my occasional depressed and suicidal tendencies may be harmful to my all-round development. Is it possible to restore my healthier and happier self at this stage?

Answer

Dear Friend,

What we have done, we can UNdo! Of course, it must be accepted that negative thoughts impact our happiness and our body cells but just as taking medicine or exercising and diet can recapture our health, so also can positive thoughts, devotion, sadhana, karma yoga, and guru’s grace! Fear not!

Swami Sri Yukteswar said, in effect, “The past lives of all men are dark with shame; forget the past and know that what you do today can make your life better (paraphrased).”

ok?

Blessings to you!
