Question

When I was listening to the Babaji mantra, I was not able to see Babaji clearly, but I have seen an image of Babaji between my eyebrows just for 2 or 3 seconds. Whenever I closed my eyes, I feel his presence there. What does it really mean?

—Ashita, India

Answer

Dear Ashita,

Paramhansa Yogananda in Autobiography of a Yogi declares that anyone who thinks of Babaji with reverence will receive an instant blessing. So, you have had a taste of that blessing. Its meaning is its blessing; there need not be any message conveyed or special significance beyond Babaji’s blessing. Be grateful for the Mahavatar who helps guide the destiny of humanity and especially the great saints working “in the fields” of daily life throughout the world.

As Babaji works through other saints and masters like, for example, Paramhansa Yogananda, Lahiri Mahasaya, and Swami Sri Yukteswar, you would do well to study their lives and teachings. Babaji, himself, does not give direct teachings or instruction to the public at large but works through others. You can, therefore, deepen your attunement to Babaji by your attunement to those through whom he works. Okay?

Blessings of Light, Joy, and Wisdom!
