I Have Been Meditating As An Inner Witness. What To Do Now In My Sadhana?

Question

I have been meditating for the past 5 years without particularly following any specific methodologies. I just sit for 30 min every evening closing my eyes and witness my thoughts. For the past two years, I feel a cool breeze over my head and it spreads down by head and body. Also I feel there is intense magnetic feel in the centre of my eyebrows which starts pulsating often automatically. This happens often even while I am not meditating. Can you please suggest any practice that can help in my sadhana?

Answer

Dear Hemalatha,

Go first into the observing state as you have been doing: disidentified with the thoughts and with the body. From there try to look into the spiritual eye, which you feel magnetically. Try to get absorbed into it, as if you were entering it.

In short: until now you have pulled back into the pure observer state, which is wonderful. Now offer that unattached observing “I” into the spiritual eye. There you meet the Divine. You can visualise anything Divine there, if you want, whatever inspires you: Spirit, consciousness, space, or anything your heart aspires to.

Try to involve your heart in that journey into the spiritual eye. Whatever you do with the heart becomes stronger and more intense.

Try that and see where it takes you. May you take the next big step in your sadhana.

God bless you,
Jayadev
